After Chiranjeevi and VH expressing their concern over increase in the electricity surcharges, it's the turn of former minister Shankar Rao to raise his voice. Yes, minister Shankar Rao, who held Kiran Kumar responsible over the defeat of Congress party in the by-polls last year, has said that chief minister should keep the problems of the common people in mind and then take an appropriate decision on the hike of electricity surcharges. Also, he has said that centre should intervene in this matter and allocate extra gas to put an end to this burning problem in the state.
It has to be mentioned here that the public have already started expressing their anguish over the electricity cuts and even the high charges and on top of it, if increased surcharges come into effect, it would undoubtedly curtain the scope of Congress party in the state. One has to look at how Congress high command is going to look at this issue!
