From April 1, many people who didn't switch to dish set up box for watching satellite channels had to see nothing on their screens. Even after Centre-through advertisements-stating time and again for setting up direct to home boxes, many people especially in Andhra Pradesh seemed to have ignored the same and the end result is that they had to now rush for the set up boxes.

It has to be mentioned here that chief minister Kiran Kumar wrote to the centre that set up boxes mandatory rule should come into effect in Andhra Pradesh at least after three months. But then Centre didn't give any response to the CM's letter and went ahead with the rule.

Addicted to TV serials:

Many housewives and other people who are addicted to serials were reportedly very upset when they saw nothing on their television screens yesterday. The sources said that they even took on Kiran sarkar publicly even thought state government's role was nothing in this move.

Likely to effect Congress future:

With television soaps becoming so important in many people's lives, curtaining the analog channels will apparently make Congress face the wrath of the common people, opined observers. They even said that this particular move would really narrow the scope of Congress coming to power in the future.

It looks like Congress is really having tough time in the state over many issues that have apparently been troubling people in the state.
