People who are presumably running from pillar to posts for Aadhaar cards can now lay back and relax as the government has introduced Aadhaar on phone. Through this new system all those living in twin cities can book Aadhaar slot-for iris-through telephone. As of now, people need to go to centres thrice—once for receiving the form, secondly for submitting the same and finally for iris. Through this telephone facility, the first two are erased off.

As of now, this facility is available in 15 centres and looking at the massive response, the officials have planned to implement the same in the remaining parts of Hyderabad too. They have said that this would be available to those who have gas connections in their name. This step has been taken since gas has been linked to Aadhaar card. It might taken another 15 days to get this system implemented throughout the city, said sources.

Common man, who finds it tough to move around Aadhaar centres twice and thrice will welcome this move for sure. A good initiative for sure!
