The Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi who was arrested a couple of days back, complained stomach ache. He was immediately attended by professionals at the NIIMS who were asked to provide medical support to the accused.

The leader is housed at the Adilabad prison for his 'hate speeches' at 'Jalsa' in Nirmal town of the district that attracted national ire. On Friday, a senior Justice visited the Adilabad prison to review the various facilities at the prison. He also met the leader and then the Chandrayangutta MLA complained about a persisting stomach pain. Immediately the judicial official urged the hospital to attend on the incarcerated leader.

The leader's arrest was the cause for unrest in the old city in Hyderabad. Adequate forces have been deployed to maintain peace in the area. However the place was tense this afternoon with a violent clash between some miscreants and the policemen. One officer was seriously injured in the melee. (Wishesh AarKay)
