Christmas celebrated with much pomp

Christmas celebrations in Andhra Pradesh especially in twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad are being celebrated with much pomp and geity. In Hyderabad and Secunderabad, churches have been beautifully decorated on the eve of birth anniversary of Jesus of Nazareth. After offering prayers at many churches, people invited the day by cutting cakes. There has been a parampara in the twin cities wherein Christmas is not just celebrated by the followers of Jesus Christ, but everyone, in fact.

People who celebrate Christmas invite their friends irrespective of religions, caste and creed for the cake cutting on December 24th night. Later, after cake cutting, they celebrate the entire night with music and prayers. Special mid-night dinner would be arranged. Since Christmas is a public holiday, non-Christians too take part in the celebrations of 24th night and spend the entire night in joy.

Andhra Wishesh takes this special opportunity to greet everyone a merry Christmas and a happy new year!
