Kodali Nani challenged TDP leader Balakrishna. Reacting on statements that he would contest from Gudivada constituency, Kodali Nani said he was ready for the challenge as he would face Balakrishna on YSRC ticket. Also, he said he would quit politics in case he loses to Balakrishna. The sources said that Balakrishna would not contest Gudiwada constituency since he actually wanted to contest from Penamuluru constituency.
The observers said Kodali Nani should have not reacted so swiftly on the statements made by Balakrishna. Challening one another in public would only affect the image of the political parties, opined observers. Political leaders should now at least stop challenging and start fighting public issues putting aside their personal agendas.
