Hyderabad prides, recognition from UNESCO!

United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is driving down to Hyderabad to have a glimpse of the Hyderabad's rich Nawabi cultural monuments. Probably as per the rumors go, Hyderabad could have some of its historic sites tagged as 'heritage' sites, by the global body. The state tourism officials informed that shortly UNESCo would visit the Golconda Fort, Charminar and the Qutubshahi tombs. And if everything goes well these monuments which have a legacy of our historic ancestors could be listed under the prestigious tag.

Recently, Western Ghats have been added to the prestigious list of UNESCO's world heritage sites on July 1. Its rich biodiversity and natural splendor has made it one most remarkable spots on earth that needs utmost care and protection. (With inputs from internet-AW AarKay)
