Garudotsavam is going to be conducted at Tirumala on Thursday. Lord Sri Venkateshwara Swamy is going to be taken out for a procession in the four streets encircling the sanctum sanctorum (madaveedhulu)between 7 and 9 pm. It may be noted that Garudaseva has been conducted at Tirumala for the past seven years. And today being rakshabandhan, a large number of devotees are seeking the blessings of Lord Balaji.

Recently, Pavithrotsavams were concluded at Tirumala temple and the annual Brahmotsavams will begin in mid of September. The temple sources have said that all arrangements are being made for the Brahmotsavams. A sea of devotees will flock Tirumala temple during Brahmotsavams as it's been believed that Brahmotsavams will be kick started by Lord Brahma (the creator).
