The Left parties tried to to lay seized to the AP secretariat sometime back. The police, who have been deployed heavily in and around secretariat, have took the left leaders into their custody when they marched almost to secretariat to accomplish their mission but it seemed like their call ended up as a mission impossible. Since the leaders picked up an argument, the situation turned chaotic.

The traffic restrictions are in place in and around Hyderabad. Telugu Thalli Flyover remained closed and traffic was diverted to ensure none could reach secretariat. The sources said nearly three companies of police personnel were deployed. And this has obstructed the Left to be-seize the secretariat. It may be noted that CPM and CPI called for this action against the rise in electricity prices.
