The TDP sources have said that the party is going to support Pranab Mukherjee for the President post. Now that Abdul Kalam backed out from the race, the TDP leaders are apparently wishing to vote for Pranab Mukherjee. On the other hand, AIADMK chief Jayalalitha telephoned Chandrababu Naidu earlier and asked him to support for NDA's presidential candidate, who is PA Sanghma.

TDP has so far maintained silence on the candidate while all the other parties are busy declaring their support to Pranab Mukherjee. The sources said that in a day or two, TDP would also declare its support to dada.
