Nigerians in Hyderabad raided by police

Hyderabad task force police today raided several houses and hostels in Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills areas of the city where Nigerians lived and arrested some of them for overstaying their Visa period in India.

Sources said police raids took place in the backdrop of the fact that Nigerian students have of late become sources of drug trafficking in Hyderabad posing a new challenge to the city police.

In recent times, police have arrested four Nigerians following their involvement in drug trafficking cases. Two of them were caught red handed while supplying drugs to budding actors of the Tollywood.

Police also found that some of the Nigerians are again resorting to drug trafficking after being arrested and released from jails. (JUBS)
