A powerful explosion took place in a dust bin at Video colony near Miyapur on the outskirts of Hyderabad this afternoon sending shock waves in the area. According to initial reports, no loss of life was reported.

The explosion has resulted in a fire in the area and fire tenders were called in to extinguish the fire which has spread to neighborhood.  Due to the impact of the explosion, an adjacent house developed cracks and its window panes were broken.

Senior police and revenue officials have rushed to the spot and are trying to find out the reasons that led to the explosion. (JUBS)
