Two more passport centers will start functioning soon in AP, according to Mr Srikara Reddy, Regional Passport Officer at Hyderabad.
Speaking to media persons this evening, Mr Srikara Reddy said two new passport centers will be established at Karimnagar and Bhimavaram. Two passport centers are already functioning in the state, one at Hyderabad and the other at Visakhapatnam.
He said that some passport seekers are approaching agents for passports through Tatkal scheme and the agents have been resorting to fraudulent means by attaching false and forgery verification identification certificates.
“We have identified 24 such cases till now and have registered cases against them,” he said, adding that passport seekers should not approach agents. “They can come directly to us for necessary information,” he said. (JUBS)
