Why this partiality, IAS officers ask CM

Senior IAS officers working in the state government met chief minister Kirankumar reddy at his camp office in Hyderabad this evening and complained against the attitude of the CBI.

A group of 50 IAS officers, who deliberated over the CBI’s modus operandi at a meeting earlier in conducting its investigation in the series of scams rocking the state, told the CM it was not good on part of CBI in calling IAS officers to its doorstep for questioning while its officers are visiting the houses of ministers for the same purpose.

“The IAS officers are only implementing the decisions taken at the Cabinet meetings but in practice we are being singled out,” they said in the memorandum submitted to the CM. “Why this distinction?” they asked the CM.

They pointed out in the petition that the ministers are also equally responsible along with the IAS officers in the administrative decisions but they are being left out in the process of investigation.

The IAS officers’ delegation reportedly got no promise from the CM on their grievances, according to sources. The IAS officers have decided to wait for two or three days for some practical response from the Government on their memorandum and then chalk out their future course of action. (JUBS)
