All cases against protestors will be waived

The State Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy today informed that the government is bound by its earlier assurances given, about the pending cases against protestors. She reassured that they shall be waived off. The Home Minister was at the Secretariat to discuss the process of waiving with the State Law Minister Erasu Pratap Reddy. The participants of the meeting included top police officials like the DIG Dinesh Reddy and other seniors.

Till date about 567 cases which were registered in both Telangana and Coastal Andhra on the protestors, were lifted. The rest of the cases were examined on a case to case basis, and the waiving is in the process said the Home Minister. In about 133 cases the opinion of the Law department is taken into account to stipulate New G O’s, which would aid the waiving of the cases.  She went on further that those involved or booked in these cases could as well appear for competitive exams. It is only at the time of interviews that the question of a clean chit is required. She further assured that before such time the cases would be waived.  (With inputs from the Internet-AarKay)
