Ministers involved in liquor syndicates: Motkupally

TDP senior leader Mr Motkupally Narasimhulu today charged that some ministers and congress MLAs were involved in the liquor syndicates’ activities and demanded the government to reveal the details of ACB raids on liquor mafia.

Reports said that ACB conducted raids on liquor syndicates across the state in the last two days and recovered documents and files relating to the bribes paid to ministers, police officials, MLAs and excise staff by the liquor traders.

Reacting to the reports, Narasimhulu told journalists that some ministers also received kickbacks from the liquor syndicates and the government must disclose the details of the ministers.

Demanding a CBI inquiry into the liquor syndicate scam, Narasimhulu demanded the Chief Minister to dismiss the ministers involved in the liquor scam. “The government is trying to protect the ministers involved in the scam,” he alleged.

Meanwhile, a section of the media said that CM had ordered the ACB raids on the liquor syndicates to take on some ministers who are at loggerheads with him. (JUBS)
