Two of five day assembly without business, day 2 adjourned

There seems to be melodrama unfurled in the Andhra Pradesh assembly than anywhere else. The day two of the winter assembly session had to be adjourned too, owing to chaotic situation created by the oppositions. The second day today also had closed without transacting any business due agitated members pressing their demands surrounded the Speaker Nadendla Manohar.

Barely two minutes into the second day of the short five day session, the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) stalled proceedings to press their no-confidence motion against the government. Speaker adjourned the house for the day amid utter pandemonium as opposition members surrounded his podium, demanding that their no-confidence motion be taken up. The members surrounded the podium with placards and the scene was out of control.

So it is another day of no transactions at the assembly. Mounting people’s issues are unsolved and are pending. This quick session was the only hope but as the proceedings are moving, there seems to be darkness even at the end of the tunnel for the common man. The public hoped that the growing prices, uneven drought and various other issues would be taken up in this session, but be optimistic we still have three more days.
