Kurnool police today arrested a 5- member gang including the son of Tollywood script writer Mr Marudhuri Raja for luring girls with roles in movies and cheating them.

Mr Sai Kishore, son of Marudhuri Raja and his friends Sasikanth, Sandeep, Dileep and Kavitha were arrested by the police.

The police moved in and arrested them after receiving complaints from three young girls belonging to Hyderabad and Kurnool that the gang members have cheated them with roles in Tollywood movies.

The girls complained that the gang had collected money and gold ornaments promising them with heroine roles. The police had recovered the money and gold ornaments from the gang and booked case against them. (JUBS)
