Temple robbery in early hours of the day

The otherwise busy road on Banjara hills was just waking up for the day when a robbery took place in a temple opposite to Pension Office, today at Hyderabad. Sri Venkateswara Temple at Banjara Hills was robbed in the early hours of the day. The robbers decamped gold and silver worth Rs.Ten Lakhs as per rough estimates. Police have reached the temple and investigations are on. Further details awaited during the course of the day. The temple situated at Syed Nagar, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad is very famous and scores of devotees throng the temple on all days. The junction where the temple stands is always stranded with traffic and the temple protrudes on the corner of the busy road. It is a very daring attempt, almost daylight robbery, which shows the increase in crime rate in the city.
