The engagement function of Tollywood hero Ramcharan and his childhood girl friend Upasana Kamineni will be held on Dec 1.
Mega star and congress MLA Mr Chiranjeevi disclosed this to journalists in Hyderabad on Wednesday. Chiranjeevi also met the Governor Mr ESL Narasimhan along with his wife and extended an invitation to the gubernatorial couple to attend the engagement function of his actor-son Ramcharan. The first couple extended best wishes and congratulated Cherry and his parents.
The engagement function will take place at Domakonda Fort (Kota) at Nizamabad, according to sources. Reports said that the bride’s family has already given a colorful face lift to the fort to make the event memorable. It is gossipped that Ram Charan will be getting a chartered flight as an engagement gift from the Upasana family on the same day. Domakonda Gadi Samsthan rulers are Kamineni family and Upasana is the daughter of Domakonda Samsthan current heir Anil Kamineni and Sobhana Reddy.
Upasana Kamineni, the Apollo heiress and granddaughter of Dr Prathap C Reddy, founder-chairman, Apollo Hospitals is a classmate of the groom Cherry.
Cherry actually wanted to wait for another two years for marriage but his actor-turned-politician father reportedly advised him to get married at the earliest as it would be the most appropriate time.
Upasana Kamineni is the vice-president of the Apollo Philanthropy and Editor of the health and life style magazine B Positive.
