Rayapati arranges food for stranded passengers

sambhasiva-raoRailway authorities stopped several Telangana bound trains at Guntur today because of the 2-day rail blockade being observed by the Telangana Political JAC and other pro-Telangana organizations across Telangana.

The rail blockade snapped rail connection between Hyderabad and several other cities of North India including Delhi. As a result, thousands of passengers were stranded at the Guntur railway station putting them to suffering.

After hearing the news, Guntur MP Mr Rayapati Sambasiva Rao visited the railway station and ordered his men to make arrangements to provide food and water for all the passengers stranded in the station.

As a result, food and other facilities were provided for all the passengers in the station itself and several volunteers were pressed into service to attend to their needs.

Thousands of passengers, who are returning back to their destinations after having darshan of the Lord Balaji on Tirumala were stunned to find that their trains were either cancelled or rescheduled or diverted because of the rail blockade in Telangana.

They ran into heated arguments with the railway officials who said they could not make any alternative arrangements.
