The women’s wing of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) today laid a siege to the house of the congress general secretary and former Union Minister Ms. Renuka Chaudary at Banjara Hills in Hyderabad protesting against her remarks on the mass general strike.
Police arrived in time and forced the activists out of the house. The activists, numbering around one hundred, left the place after police threatened them with arrest.
Renuka Chaudary said on Monday in Delhi that the mass general strike was a flop as there was 85 per cent attendance in the state secretariat. Speaking to media persons, she also said that people have begun hating the bandh culture and the general strikes by the TRS and other pro-Telangana activists.
