Jagan Delhi visit not yielding results

PawarYSR Congress party president Mr YS Jaganmohan reddy today met Union Agriculture Minister Mr Sharad Pawar at the Parliament House in Delhi and submitted a memorandum requesting to solve the problems of farmers in the state.

Jagan later said in a statement that he had requested the union minister to provide higher support price to the agricultural produce in the state and provide more go-down facilities for stocking the produce. He had also requested Sharad Pawar to remove the circumstances that resulted in the crop holiday in some of the districts in the state.

Jagan complains on CBI and the congress

Mr Jagan has been on a three day visit to Delhi to meet national leaders to complain about the congress party. For the last three days, he has been meeting several leaders and complaining that congress was using the CBI to take vengeance on him.

Jagan also told Sharad Pawar that the congress leaders have begun witch-hunting and said that the government has unleashed CBI against him and sought his support in thwarting the congress efforts. But there are no reports that Jagan has become successful in enlisting the support of Sharad Pawar.

On Tuesday, he met Union Minister Dr Farook Abdulla and complained of the CBI harassment through raids on his premises and companies. But later Dr Abdulla told reporters that Prime Minister would never use the CBI or any other central agency for selfish ends. “The PM is a very sincere person and no one should ascribe motives to him in the use of CBI,” he said.

On Monday, Jagan met Samajwadi party leader Mr. Mulayam Singh Yadav and complained to him that congress party has turned vindictive against him but reports said that Mulayam didn’t respond to the allegation.
