
E. Balaji, MD & CEO, Ma Foi Randstad said that a recent survey, Employment Trends Survey-Wave 2, conducted on job prospects, gave positive results.
The survey was conducted on 690 companies across 13 potential industry segments covering 8 major cities in the country. And the results were quite encouraging to job seekers. It stated that over seven lakh jobs were created in the first half of 2011, from Jan-June. By September 2011, more 3,69,200 jobs are expected to be available in various sectors.
The survey was conducted on senior management and HR professionals, in areas relating to hiring plans, time specifications and staff requirements, while considering present requirements and future plans.
Health care remained on the top as the largest hiring sector followed by Hospitality segment. IT/ITes is also improving at a rapid pace.
He also felt that the employers are open for recruitments but attrition is their major concern.
Chennai leads the employment capacity along with New Delhi and Mumbai.
