Sisters tie Rakhis to brothers

kcr-and-vijayshantiRaksha Bhandan festival, marking the love and affection between brothers and sisters, was celebrated today across India amid enthusiasm and zeal. This festival is celebrated every year on Sravana Purnima day.

The festival makes sisters visit their brothers and seek their blessings by tying the Rakhis to show their affection for them. In Delhi, the occasion was marked by some physically challenged persons visiting the Rashtrapathi Bhavan and tying the Raksha Bhandan Rakhi to the President Smt Pratibha Patil.

In Hyderabad, TRS leader Ms. Vijayasanthi visited the party president KCR and tied the Rakhi to him. Several students visited the Raj Bhavan and tied Rakhi to the Governor ESL Narasimhan.
