No need for fresh resolution: Kiran

kiranTaking up the 14 F controversy to new levels, Chief Minister Kirankumar reddy told the Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram that there was no need for the assembly to pass another resolution seeking the removal of 14 F Clause from the Presidential orders with regard to the SIs’ recruitments.

Responding to the Home Minister’s appeal on Monday to the state government to get another resolution passed by the state assembly to prove unanimity on the need for removal of the Clause 14 F, the CM spoke to him over phone saying there was no necessity for such a second resolution and urged him to act on the previous resolution.

“The same assembly that passed the resolution exists even today and it would be valid for all legal complications or decisions,” said Kirankumar in his phone conversation with Chidambaram. The CM has also sent a letter today to the Home Minister expressing the same opinions.

It might be mentioned that Chidambaram revealed on Monday in a media conference in Delhi he had requested the AP chief minister Kirankumar reddy to see that the assembly passes a fresh resolution on the removal of 14 F so that the same can be forwarded to the President of India at the earliest.
