Experts asked to study Sai Trust report

baba1The AP government today constituted a three-member committee of experts to go into the aspects of the report submitted by the Satya Sai Central Trust on its activities.

K. Narasimha Murthy, N. Srihari Babu and O.U.R. Reddy are the members of the committee. They were asked to study the details of report and report to the government on or before July 20.

It might be recalled that the Kirankumar reddy government has directed the Satya Sai Central Trust to submit a detailed report on the activities of the trust with details of trust members, their professions and properties, auditors and donors, exemptions given by the government, Reserve Bank and other statutory bodies to the trust, bank balances, complete details of the subsidiary trusts and their activities and so on.

The government’s action followed the allegations in the media that the trust members have been diverting the trust funds into their personal coffers and after the police seized cash to the tune of Rs.35 lakh from the vehicles owned by trust members.

The three member committee of experts will go deeply into the report and prepare a report on the discrepancies found.
