As the congress high command raised curtains for heralding new vote banks and political equations in AP as part of its innovative plan to revitalize the party thanks to the Jagan factor, political parties are all set to work openly on caste lines henceforth.

The open allegiance of political parties to their respective communities or vice versa is now at its zenith like never before and each caste is worried in its own way of the other castes now.

As Kapus have been roped in to take the reins of the congress mantle in the state to dominate the reddy community which is helping the YSR congress chief YS Jaganmohan reddy consolidate his position in the political arena, the Kamma community is also looking towards TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu as its messiah to take them forward in their political and social march.

It is said that chief minister Kirankumar reddy tried his best to prevent the elevation of Botsa Satyanarayana as the PCC chief in place of D. Srinivas fearing that it may catapult the Kapu community to the pinnacles of power in the changed circumstances following the death of YSR.

The congress leadership has already hugged the PRP leader and mega star Mr Chiranjeevi by seeking and completing the PRP merger with it fetching a new colour to the congress image in the state while shedding the reddy brand to a considerable extent. And now, the same Kapu community leader Botsa was asked to lead the party in the state.

This is however giving sleepless nights to Kirankumar reddy who is very much worried of the growing Kapu community dominance in the state congress. The haunting fear has made him request the central leadership to put on hold the induction of Chiranjeevi in to the central cabinet. But how far his request would be valued and respected by the congress high command is not yet known. All indications seem that Chiru will be joining the Union Cabinet in the next reshuffle as MoS with independent charge despite the CM’s objections.

CM is of the opinion that he will have to face a by election for the Tirupati assembly seat immediately if Chiru were inducted into the Union Cabinet and this will force him to face an embarrassing situation in his home district of Chittor where he is not having a solid ground.

Whey is the chief minister worried about that when the congress high command is also aware of this fact? The CM’s lurking fear however is that Chiru’s induction into the Union Cabinet will contribute to the growth of Kapu community in the political arena in the state by leaps and bounds.
