Kiran has luncheon meeting with KVP

Kiran has luncheon meeting with KVPAhead of a possible revamp of the congress party in the state and reshuffle of the state cabinet, chief minister Kirankumar reddy on Sunday attended a lunch hosted by the adviser to the government Mr KVP Ramachandra Rao at the latter’s residence in Hyderabad and discussed various issues with him for about one hour and twenty minutes.

Sources said Kirankumar has entrusted the responsibility of managing the dissident MLAs in the party to Ramachandra Rao. The dissident MLAs are those who have been openly supporting the YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan reddy defying the party instructions.

The meeting also gains significance in the wake of the recent meeting of KVP with party president Sonia Gandhi in Delhi.

KVP played a key role during the regime of YSR and even advised K. Rosaiah who became Chief Minister after the death of YSR. But, KVP remained aloof after Kiran kumar reddy became the chief minister. Observers are giving importance to this meeting and saying that Kiran is on an action plan to increase his strength and consolidate his position in the party and is accordingly meeting important people.

While he met Dasari Narayana rao recently, PRP turned congress leader Chiranjeevi went to Tirupati and met Kiran’s rival Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy. Sources said that Chiru met him at the behest of Kirankumar reddy only.

Kiran wants to see that the party in the state shall have his brand and all his efforts are aimed achieving that aim, sources said.
