Rosaiah denies aiming at Governor postFormer chief minister K. Rosaiah said today that he was not aiming at the post of Governor. Speaking to media persons in Delhi this afternoon, Rosaiah said he came to Delhi to congratulate congress party president Sonia Gandhi on the electoral victory in some states.

Rosaiah denied media reports that he came to Delhi and met Sonia on Tuesday to beg for the post of governor. “I don’t have to answer the media reports that I am lobbying for Governor’s post,” he said.

When asked about the appointment of a new PCC chief, Rosaiah said that the high command will take a decision soon on the issue. “I discussed the party issues with Sonia but I didn’t recommend any one to the post,” he said answering a question.

Several channels said in the last two days that Rosaiah had gone to Delhi to lobby for the post of Governor and he may soon be appointed as the gubernatorial head of a neighboring state.
