Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal, Guntur MP Mr Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, Secunderabad MP Anjana Kumar Yadav of the congress and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi (Majlis) today had a providential escape when the pilot of their aircraft observed cracks in the cockpit mirror and took the plane back to Delhi cancelling the flight to Hyderabad midway.

The Kingfisher flight, carrying the four MPs and singer Gajal Srinivas, was on its way to Hyderabad from Delhi this afternoon when an alert pilot of the plane found wide cracks in the cockpit mirror and told the MPs he was taking the plane back to Delhi as it was not safe to go forward.

Sources said the pilot observed the defect after a 30-minute journey when the plane was hovering on Bhopal city in Madhya Pradesh and took the right decision in abandoning the flight to Hyderabad.

Later, officials arranged another aircraft for carrying the MPs from Delhi to Hyderabad.
