Govt seeks explanation from Sai Trust

baba-and-kiran-kumarPrinciple Secretary of the state finance department Mr LV Subramanyam, who is presently in Puttaparthy, is said to have instructed the members of the Satya Sai Central Trust to have a meeting with in three days and make public the actual health position of the spiritual guru Satya Sai Baba who has been lying in hospital since March 28.

CM Kirankumar reddy had deputed Subramanyam to Puttaparthy to find out the goings on at the Prasanthi Nilayam and in the Satya Sai Super Specialty hospital where Baba was being treated. CM’s action comes after three days of investigative reports on Baba by the popular Telugu daily Andhra Jyothy which said that Baba was held hostage by his personal aids for the last six months and proper treatment is not being extended to him by the Trust Board members.

Subramanyam reportedly told the Trust administrators that people of the state must know the actual condition of the Baba’s health and also the status of the Trust. Reports indicate that he had directed the Trust members to respond to the allegations leveled against them by the media.
