Changes in children's behaviour can predict health behaviour

Changes in children's behaviour can predict health behaviour:- The Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences at the University of Jyvaskyla and the Gerontology Research Center (Finland) conducted a research on the children for decades to find about the midlife health behaviour. If your kids have a socioemotional behavior at the age of 8 years, it would have an impact directly or indirectly through education. All the findings have been published in the journal Psychology and Health. There are lot of factors that have an impact on the behaviour of the kids and one among them is the personality. If there are differences in their behaviour and response style between the individuals, it will be visible in young children.

The socioemotional behaviour in the children with their physical activity, alcohol consumption and smoking is assessed up to 42 years. All the girls who behave kindly and constructively will have more physical activity in the middle age. The children with social activity and eager to play with other children predicted heavy alcohol consumption in girls and among boys, smoking was found. Well controlled behaviour is as good as self discipline and they exercise well in adulthood. Alcohol consumption starts when the girls are fond of social activity during childhood.
