NRI doctor held

An NRI man, who claimed himself as a doctor was arrested at Ahmedabad airport for allegedly carrying some medicines to treat diabetes and erectile dysfunction. Since the medicines need authorization or licence to bring it into India, his consignment was seized and he was sent back with the summons. As per the report, one Ashiq Patel, who was aged 35 years arrived from San Francisco. When the custom officials checked his bag, they found some medical instruments and drugs. Upon questioning, Ashiq Patel said he was a doctor and was carrying those medicines to give it to charity (villagers).

The customs officials, who suspected whether he was smuggling drugs, asked the in house doctors to check the medicines. The medicines were said to be used in treating diabetes besides helping in achieving better pleasure in se**** activity. They, however, need licence to be brought to India. Therefore, the medicines were seized and NRI man was sent back with summons.
