KCR 'sold out' : TDP
The Telugu Desam Parliament Party (TDP) slammed the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) for his desperate silence in the house on Tuesday. TDP MPs Nama Nageswara Rao and Ramesh Rathod openly said that the TRS Chief has been `sold out’ to the Congress. Further inflicting more they said that as part of the pact only, KCR was silent on Telangana issue, even though the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was present. The TDP members later added that in spite of their profound voice on the Telangana the ruling party paid no heed and KCR was also equally silent on the issue. All this was disclosed by the TDP members on Wednesday to the media in Delhi.
They also said that when the vote on budget session began the members of Congress and TRS from the state were absent which went on to prove the pact between the parties. Mr Nama Nageswara Rao added that when the centre did not show an inclination towards Telangana issue, why should both these parties absent themselves during the voting session. He also reminded that it was only members of the TDP who protested against the centre during the Budget sessions.
On the other hand Mr Ramesh Rathod felt that just to keep his membership live the TRS Chief attends the session, occasionally. Adding that in spite of many students turning martyrs for the cause, the members of TRS and Congress from the state are toying with the idea. He also said the TDP would expose their haphazard attitude to the public, who already are keeping track os the developments.
On the contrary the Congress leader Manda Jagannadham condemned the TDP for making false allegations on the party. He said that TDP had no ideology and wanted to gain popularity by talking irrelevant issues. The Karimnagar Congress MP Ponnam Prabhakar said that they were bound to save the face of the party.
Whatever be the reasons it only looks inevitable that our leaders are really not sure on the Telangana issue, or for that matter on any issues that are hovering over the state. Most of them are in the rat race to save their positions and are undeterred on, come what may on the state. This was the general feeling of the public and notable critics across the state.
