LEO Analysis

LEO Movie Review, Rating, Story, Cast & Crew

The first half of Leo is gripping, interesting and engaging. The slow pace is sure a barrier for the film. Vijay carries the film on his shoulders and the cinematography work, background score and the action blocks stand out. The interval bang is very interesting and the film's fate completely lies on the second half of the film.

The second half of Leo is bland, boring and is dragged so much. The second half also tests the patience of the audience and it sounds quite silly. The pre-climax portions are even bad and the climax episode is decent. Vijay once agains breathes well with his performance. A section of youth and the hardcore fans of Vijay may love Leo but the film is not for everyone because of the badly handled second half.

Performance

Vijay tops the show with his performance and screen presence. The actor carried the film on his shoulders. Trisha is good in the crisp role. Arjun Sarja delivers big with his performance and he is a treat to watch. Sanjay Dutt is loud and his character will not connect with the audience well. All the other actors are decent.

Leo has a sleak plot and a bad writing ruined the second half of the film. The music is ok and the background score of Anirudh is appealing and convincing. But it is not the best work of Anirudh like Vikram and Jailer. The cinematography work is outstanding and so are the production values. Lokesh Kanagaraj kept the bars high after the release of Vikram. But instead he delivers a disappointing product through Leo.

LEO Final Word

Leo ends up as a disappointment because of the poorly written and badly executed second half.
