Padesave Story
Karthik (Karthik Raju) is a junk artist, who does some artistic works with the scrap. His childhood friend Niharika (Nitya Shetty), who is even neighbor of Karthik, loves the male lead, but the latter treats her just as a friend.
On the other side, Karthik falls in love with Niharika’s friend Swathi (Sameera), but the latter already gets engaged to someone else. The triangle love story between these three people and the consequences further forms the rest of the story.
Padesave Analysis
Adopting the title from the Akhil movie song, ‘Padesave’ faces the similar fortune faced by Akkineni’s debut. Though the theme is old, triangle love stories always has some craziness to explore. But the director could not use it properly. Chunia being a serial director earlier, showed her serial experience in directing a lengthy serial calling it a movie. Even the emotional scenes are a big let down in the film, making one think, what more can be expected from a serial director.
Performance
Karthik just gave an ok-ok performance and Nitya Shetty is a disappointment. Her looks, acting, dialogue delivery none actually impresses. Senior actress and yesteryear heroine Raasi and senior actor Naresh are the breath taking options in the film, that too at the climax. Rest other characters gave a below average performance.
Even noted music director’s Anup Rubens could not live up the expectations this time. For god sake, don’t ask me about the cinematography and editing. Dialogues are not attractive and the production values are not bad.
Padesave Final Word
On some special occasions, terming it as a mega episode, the serials would be telecasted for about 3 hours. But I wonder, what made the makers take this mega episode serial called Padesave, up to the theaters.
