Much awaited Movie of the year, a film that is produced with a very High Budget (30+ crores), released among the highest expectation, Allu Arjun’s ‘Badrinath’, failed to live upto the expectations of the audience. This is the most disappointing factor. Absolutely ‘No Clarity’ in the story, UN related songs and sequences no connect in the story, put together makes ‘Badrinath’ a ‘Disappointing film’.

Story:

‘Badri’ is a ‘Kshetrapaalakudu’, of ‘Badrinath’ temple. He happens to meet ‘Alakananda’ (Tamanna), on her visit to the temple. Alakananda looses her parents, as they die, in front of her in an incident happened in a temple. From then, Alaka stops believing God. Meanwhile, Alakananda takes ‘panga’ with her parental aunt, by insulting her in public. Her aunt wants to take revenge on Alakananda, by getting Alaka married to her son and take a life long revenge. Now, how ‘Badri’ saves Alakananda from her problems, how they unite, is the rest of the story.

Analysis:

The story given by writer Chinni Krishna, itself, is very week. It seems, due to the clarity missing in the story, the director VV Vinayak has fit the story in between the songs. To add on to this, we get to see a song, right after 5 minutes of the Movie starts, post interval. It seems, the Director has taken various different blocks, and attached it into one story. It is a simple love story, that is presented with lot of make up, by adding certain elements like ‘Badrinath’ temple back drop, Hero being shown as a ‘Indian Samurai’, and the songs that are full of beat ad no tune. The technicians of the film like art department, Stunt masters, and all the artists have done their bit. Tamanna, is only limited to a Skin Show in songs and couple of scenes. Allu Arjun is the only saving factor in the film as his looks and acting skills, and of course Stunts were extremely good. But, this is not enough to make audience stick watching the 2 and a half hours film.

Performances:

Allu Arjun as ‘Badri, was outstanding. Tamanna acted upto her role was designed. Prakash Raj as a Guru of Kshetrapaalakaas, done a good job. Music by MM Keeravani was not appealing, however, the back ground score seemed to be OK. Story by chinni Krishna is the main reason for Movie’s Disappointment. Director VV Vinayak did a OK job. He failed to bring the connect in the story. Action sequences by Peter Heins were rewarding. Cinematography by Ravi Varma was one of the saving factors of the film.

Final Word:

Hats of to Producer Allu Arjun, for making a high Budget movie from such a week story, despite knowing the same.
