Prabhas (Amarendra Bahubali, Rana Daggubati (Ballaladeva) loves Anushka (Devasena) )and Ramya Krishna (Sivagami) requests Anushka to marry her son Rana. So Sivagami who was in favour of Baahubali switches her loyalties in part 2. Anushka denies to marry Rana and marries Prabhas (Bahubali). Sivagami gets angry and orders them to leave Mahishmati kingdom.

The two leave the kingdom but continue to be happy in each other’s company. People of Mahishmithi kingdom love Bahubali and pray for his well being even after he leaves the kingdom. Meanwhile Bhallaladeva starts torturing people because of jealousy. Prabhakar (Kalakeya’s) brother Charandeep raids on Mahishmathi kingdom and Bahubali senses attack and saves Mahishmathi kingdom from going into Charandeep's hands. Both Bhallaladeva, Bijjaladeva (Nazar) kill Baahubali with a master plan. After knowing the reasons for Bahubali death, Ramyakrishna hates Bhalladeva and Bijjaladeva, and only then Ramyakrishna develops affection for Baahubali and saves Bahubali's son Shivudu (Prabhas) from Rana, Nazar. Shivudu lives away from the kingdom. He comes to know about his parents and takes revenge on Bhallaladeva and Bijjaladeva.
