Bollywood Dabangg, Salman Khan’s bodyguard, Shera who was accused of booked on assault charges as been proved innocent. Attar Umar Qureshi had filed a complaint in which he stated that Shera had physically assaulted him due to which his collar bone got broken.

According to the latest reports, the Bandra police said that the complaint registered by Qureshi is fake and it was purely an attempt to blackmail.

On October 25, Shera had heated argument with Qureshi's friend over the phone after which Qureshi alleged that Shera had broken his collar bone. He added that the bodyguard hit him with the pistol butt.After which Shera was arrested by the DN Nagar police. A case was also booked under IPC 326, 503 and 504 on Shera.

Shera gave a statement before going to the police station. He said that it  was a verbal argument and not a physical fight.

"On Tuesday, I went to meet a friend at Kokilaben Hospital and from there to Pop Tate's which is where we had the verbal argument. I didn't get down from my car so there is no question of hitting anyone," he asserted.

During the questioning, Shera also told the cops that “someone had tried to stop his car around 2 am near Amitabh Bachchan's Juhu bungalow. When he didn't stop, he'd deliberately fallen down on the road in front of the car.”

"We started searching for witnesses and came across taxi and auto drivers who in their statement reiterated that someone had fallen down on the road to stop a car and injured himself in the process," a senior police officer told Mirror.

He added that "when Qureshi was arrested with this evidence, he admitted that after the argument with Shera on the phone, he'd planned to beat him up that night and file a complaint to spoil his image. The cops believe that Qureshi thought this would, in turn, tarnish Shera's boss and actor Salman Khan's reputation and give him a chance to extort money from him."

The police will now file a brief report in this case on Qureshi for registering a fake complaint.
