In such days where only the records of the movies is discussed, but not the number of days it had its run in the theatre, Super Star Mahesh Babu Srimanthudu movie completes 50 days in 185 centres. This is a great feat of a telugu movie, compared to other movies in the recent times.   
 
Srimanthudu movie plot is all about a millionaire adopting a village and developing it. Such a huge plot has the scope for the success, only if it is handled well, otherwise, there would be no other option, other than facing the bad fortune.

But Mahesh was confident on Mirchi fame Koratala Siva’s directional skills and went forward, by co-producing the movie, launching his own banner Mahesh Babu entertainment Pvt.Ltd.

Right from the first show itself, Srimanthudu garnered a huge positive buzz, even among the normal audience, along with Mahesh fans.

Srimanthudu uncompromised with Baahubali

After Tollywood had already witnessed an industry hit blockbuster Baahubali, a few of the film analysts opined that, Srimanthudu might be lost in Baahubali mania. But however, Srimanthudu collections managed to show 85+ crores as figure, thus surpassing Pawan Kalyan’s Attarintiki Daredi records and standing in the second highest grosser position, after Baahubali.

However, comparing Srimanthudu with Baahubali is not right, as Baahubali concept is an international level one and so got such a huge gross collections.
 
As of now, Baahubali completed its run and Srimanthudu is waiting to move aside after a big movie release. Mahesh is currently participating in Beahmothsavam movie shooting. The movie is again touted to be a soft entertainer, along with a few of the mass elements.
