Director Shankar has promised to do a straight Telugu film in future at the audio release of 'I' movie [Telugu album]. Speaking on the occasion Shankar said, “Earlier I have made two attempts to do a direct Telugu film but things did not materialise. All my films get dubbed in Telugu and became huge hits. I owe Telugu audience a lot and for them, one day I will do a Telugu film.”

Shankar wished that 'I' movie will also become a good response and he thanked all the Telugu technicians who have worked for the movie. The director also revealed that hero Vikram worked every hard for the film and his dedication was extraordinary. Shankar also thanked comedian Srinivas Reddy who dubbed for comedian Santhanam in the Telugu version of 'I.'

Telugu directors SS Rajamouli, Trivikram Srinivas and Boyapati Srinu attended the music launch of I held at Park Hotel. 'I' movie has music of AR Rahman and is releasing on January 14th.
