Mahankali cinema, which has hit theaters after facing so much controversy between producer and financiers, has evoked poor response at the box office on day one yesterday. The movie was said to have nothing so important to boast about. The story line of the movie was also an age old one and people who watched the movie were thoroughly upset with the cinema. Rajashekar, who once appealed the audience as angry police man in Ankusham and other films, couldn't manage to please the audience as Mahankali.

Directed by Jeevitha Mahankali is all about a sincere police office taking on mafia don. Rajashekar has done such movies earlier. As an actor he gave his best but Jeevitha's direction and routine story are drawbacks for the film. There's nothing special in the movie. Right from cinematography to music to screenplay, everything will test your patience. Well, it looks like this movie is strictly for Rajashekar fans.
