Facebook Launches A New Map To Combat Coronavirus:- Facebook released new visualizations for its uses along with the datasets that can help the researchers and healthcare providers battle the coronavirus pandemic. These include a coronavirus map and a dashboard that includes international results from Facebook's symptom survey. Facebook launched 'Data for Good' in the year 2017 to make some good progress on various social issues. The public health researchers used the data sets that are released by Facebook to inform the decisions around the coronavirus across Asia, Europe and North America.

Facebook also said that they worked hard and made mobility datasets publicly available to show the rate at which the communities are reducing. The new map also shows the travel patterns between the countries and the states to help the researchers and others understand how long would the distance travel reduces the impact of the spread of coronavirus. The survey was conducted with the initiative on Digital Economy at MIT and is advised by theĀ  Johns Hopkins University Center for Communication Programmes and the World Health Organization (WHO).

Facebook said that it aggregates the data it collected from the apps through 'Data for Good'.
