Efforts begin to revive Dead sea

A formulated method  to link the Red Sea with the shrinking Dead Sea could save it from total evaporation at the same time bring desalinated water to thirsty neighbours Israel, Jordan and the Palestinians. Yet environmentalists warn that the "Red-Dead" project could have dreadful consequences, modifying the unique chemistry of the landmark inland lake at the lowest point on earth.

Jordanian Prime Minister Abdullah Nsur said on Monday that his government had decided to press ahead accompanied by the US$980 million (S$1.26 billion) project which would give the excessively dry Hashemite kingdom 100 million cubic metres of water a year.

Furthermore, Mr Nsur told a news conference that the government has considered formally the project subsequent to the years of technical, political, economic as well as geological studies.

That's certainly a great plan yet require to be dealt with the environmentalists caution seriously. Due to the fact that they emphasized that the "Red-Dead" project could have dreadful consequences, modifying the unique chemistry of the landmark inland lake at the lowest point on earth.
