Nokia Lumia 620 is the cheapest Windows 8 mobile phone manufactured from the Finnish stable and it is now available in India at Rs 14,999. Online stores have depicted the price as low as Rs 14,299 and e-store Flipkart has also started taking pre-orders while giving away a 16GB memory card for free with the phone.
All that aside is Nokia Lumia 620 a phone deserving the price tag and a customer base? Definitely we say. Looks wise, the phone is made of plastic but is durable and trendy with customizable backs. The matte finish and soft grip allow comfort during use. Phone calls are crisp and clear both on speaker and the earpiece. 5MP camera is an understatement for present day phones but you will be amazed to see the true to life pictures captured on this phone. LED flash allows you some party moments too.
The display is just 3.8", a few milimeters shorter than the conventional 4" screen but the clear back technology allows for great outdoor viewing with crisp blacks and better viewing angles.
Coming to the OS, the highlight is the Windows 8 user interface. Live feeds, better connectivity are its USPs but the app store currently lacks a lot of apps that are very easy to obtain on the iOS or Android. Soon, with more numbers of users taking up a Windows phone for the ease of use and organization, the developers will come up with their apps for Windows 8 in no time. For the price, what you get is a great deal, unless you are an app freak, at least for now. If you are more concerned about apps, choose the Android platform.
