Finally the nerve-wracking wait for the latest version of iPhone 5 is over as the company had announced that the phone would be available for pre-order starting September 12 on its blog post in iMore. The shipping would begin starting September 21.

Several rumors on the internet had made rounds around the world speculating the design, the changes and other things. This revelation makes the wait much easier now as the prebooking would begin on September 12 in the US. The international market would be allowed to book the much awaited iPhone 5 starting the next month and the probable date was said to be set at October 5th.

This launch and immediate pre-booking, first time ever for the Cupertino giant, Apple, clearly indicates its determination to gain the lost sales in the first two quarters of the year.

The company has confirmed the previous rumors that have been speculated by the netizens. A FaceTime camera, smaller dock connector, larger screen, changed position for the headphone jack, are not merely rumors.

On the other hand Samsung is yet to unveil its Galaxy Note 2 and Sony is expected to release its new flagship mobile Sony Experia TX.
