General Motors India on Thursday launched its multi purpose vehicle Enjoy at an introductory price between Rs 5.49 lakh and Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Just in the price range of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga,  Rs 5.98 lakh and Rs 8.7 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), this will be a perfect competition to the home-raised automobile.

It will also serve to be the next cheapest alternative to the Mahindra Duster which has a more premium look and a price tag to it.

The Enjoy is available in both petrol and diesel options. The petrol version is powered by a 1.4 litre engine and the price ranges from Rs 5.49 lakh and Rs 6.99 lakh.

Diesel variant with a powerful 1.3 litre engine is available at Rs 6.69 lakh and Rs 7.99 lakh. The other option of choosing 7 or 8 seater variants is also available for more flexibility in the Indian demographics.

"The Enjoy will compete in one of the fastest growing segments in India. We expect that this model will be a success considering its attributes and pricing," GM India President and Managing Director Lowell Paddock told reporters here.

Enjoy is completely re-engineered and re-designed to meet Indian conditions, he added.

This model of car will serve the General Motors only in India and will not be exported.
