NTR house demolished, LP wails

The erstwhile wife of the TDP founder Lakshmi Paravathi wailed at the demolition site on Wednesday (December 19). Late N T Rama Rao lived in the house at Banjara Hills in Hyderabad along with his then wife, Lakshmi Parvathi before his death.

According to sources, N Ramakrishna, son of the late Chief Minister was demolishing the house on Road no 13. The premises was in a controversy after the death of the veteran.

While Ms Lakshmi Parvathi claimed that the house belonged to the youngest daughter of the late leader, Uma Maheshwari. It was said that the late NTR had paid Ms Uma the money for the house and taken over the control verbally.

However the court had favored Ms Uma. But it is alleged that the premises is right now under the control of the Ramakrishna.

Ms Parvathi claimed to the onlookers that she was forced out of the premises at the behest of Ramakrishna after the death of the leader.

She quoted the age-old story narrated in a song, a king had seven sons and she was the loyal dog that never left the owner and followed him like a shadow.

She also added that she was trying to keep the reminiscences of the great doyen while his own sons were trying the destroy his legacy. (Wishesh AarKay)
