Annavaram temple new Gopuram to be inaugurated on March 14

Kanchi Sankaracharya Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swami will inaugurate the newly built Gopuram of the Lord Satyanarayana Swamy temple at Annavaram in East Godavari district on March 14.
Temple Executive Officer Mr K.Ramachandra Mohan told journalists at Annavaram this morning that 102 Vedic scholars will aid the Kanchi seer in conducting the Maha Kumbabhishekam and other programmes.
“The main programme will take place at 11 am in Vrishabha Lagnam when the star Anuradha rules,” he said, adding, that holy water brought from 8 rivers would be used in the Maha Kumbabhishekam.
The temple authorities had allotted a budget of Rs.35 lakh for the auspicious ceremonies. (J)
